Classic Summer Wedding at The Piedmont Room and Piedmont Garden Tent | Sarah + Joshua

There are certain venues in our home city that are quintessentially Atlanta. And one of them is The Piedmont Room and Piedmont Garden Tent. We’ve planned many beautiful weddings there, and we’re always so eager to return because the space is located in Piedmont Park in the heart of Atlanta. Sarah and Joshua fell in love with the space too, so we had the incredible honor of going back once again. But this time there was a fun twist!

Sarah and Joshua have such sweet relationships with their families and friends, and it was wonderful to watch those relationships in real-time during their rehearsal dinner, which we planned for them, as well as throughout their wedding mornings as they spent time getting ready with their favorite people. Sarah’s getting ready spot was especially meaningful as she got ready at her family’s home! And she got to share a first look with her bridesmaids and bridesman in a backyard that already means so much to her and her family.

Prior to the ceremony, Sarah and Joshua knew they wanted to see each other for the first time. So, they shared a first look outside on the grounds of their venue! They were both so excited to finally spend time together, and their excitement absolutely made their photos even more fun. They also got to capture a few photos with Once Like a Spark with the Piedmont tent in the background, and we love how their fun neon sign made an epic appearance.

Shortly after their first look and a portrait session with their wedding party, it was time for Sarah veil to be put into place and for her to walk down the aisle toward Joshua. This is when S and J’s guests got to experience one of the most unique things about their wedding: The couple rented out The Piedmont Room for their ceremony! This is a rare occurrence, but a little-known fact is couples can actually rent out the entire space and fully take it over. So, Sarah and Joshua were able to host a beautiful indoor, light-filled ceremony in June, which meant everything could happen on-site, their guests were more comfortable in an air-conditioned space, and there was never a worry about a pop-up afternoon summer shower.

Once they had officially tied the knot, Sarah and Joshua explored the grounds even more to capture more photos. During this time, we made sure the space at Piedmont Garden Tent was ready to welcome guests. Centerpieces by Ginger Lily Events featured ivory blooms; Sarah and Joshua’s cake was bedecked with flowers; and the pair’s band, Emerald Empire Band, was ready to take the stage for a night of pure fun.

Sarah and Joshua’s reception quickly became a favorite. They had a beautiful first dance, they shared dances with their parents, and their most special people were ready to deliver beautiful speeches. Piedmont’s team created a delicious menu that was enjoyed by everyone. Then it was time for everyone to dance—and Emerald Empire Band made sure the dance floor stayed packed for the entire night!

We loved every detail of Sarah and Joshua’s wedding. Spending the day at The Piedmont Room and Piedmont Garden Tent was an absolute treat for our team and for all of S and J’s guests, and every single space looked incredible! We’re still thinking about this celebration several months later, and we don’t think we’ll be ready to stop reminiscing anytime soon. Congratulations, Sarah and Joshua!
