Today is the launch day for Just About Love Vendor Favorites, a new series that we’re launching on our blog! Our aim with this series is to introduce you to the Atlanta wedding professionals we absolutely love working with. Each one is kind, creative, professional, and so much fun to be around, whether you’re inquiring with them or working together on the day of your celebration. And, our first pro is none other than Lizzie Baker Photo!

Lizzie is a local Atlanta wedding photographer, and we had the absolute joy of working together last June. She’s unendingly talented, and she’s just as invested as we are in creating a wedding day our couples will want to experience again and again. Below, she shares why she loves her work, her favorite thing about Atlanta weddings, what she’s looking forward to experiencing at soirees this year, her best advice for engaged couples, and much more. So, without further ado, meet sweet Lizzie Baker…!

Just About Love Weddings: Who are you and What do you love about what you do? 

Lizzie Baker Photography: My name is Lizzie Baker and I’m an Atlanta-based film photographer, storyteller, and professional hype woman!  My favorite part of my job is meeting and connecting with my clients. Every couple’s relationship dynamic is unique, and that’s ultimately what I aim to immortalize in photos. I want you to get your gallery back and think, “These photos are so us!” It’s such an honor and a privilege to be trusted with documenting such an important day in someone’s life! 

JALW: What is your favorite thing about Atlanta weddings? 

LBP: Atlanta has such a diverse selection of wedding venues! I feel like I’m never photographing the same wedding twice! You can be transported to old-world Europe at The Atlanta History Center and then at an intimate lake-side ceremony at The Ritz at Lake Oconee. There is really a venue for everyone. 

JALW: What is your favorite moment on a wedding day? 

LBP: I love photographing first looks that roll right into couple’s portraits! The intimate nature of a couple taking a moment together to truly focus on each other is so special. Oftentimes, this will be one of the few moments a couple has to themselves. 

JALW: What are you most looking forward to seeing or experiencing at weddings in 2023? 

LBP: I am so excited to be shooting at several venues that I have not yet had the pleasure of photographing! Every time I walk into a new venue, it’s like a brand-new playground to play on. You’re able to exercise your creativity and create something new for your clients.

JALW: If you could share one piece of advice with a couple currently planning their wedding, what would it be? 

LBP: My number one piece of advice is to HIRE A PLANNER or COORDINATOR . They are the brain of your wedding day! If any issues arise, there is a singular point of contact to take that information and put a resolution into action. As a bride, or a groom for that matter, all you should have to do on your wedding day is relax and enjoy the celebration you’ve been anticipating for months. You don’t want to have to stress over anything. When you invest in a wedding planner/coordinator , you’re paying for peace of mind!

JALW: What is your experience or what is your favorite thing we do to help your experience on the wedding day?

LBP: When I work with Just About Love Weddings, I know that I can expect clear and consistent communication leading up to and on the wedding day! Wedding days have 1000 moving parts, so making sure that your vendors are up-to-date on what’s happening on your day is crucial.
