Jessica and Adam’s Elegant Downtown Atlanta Summer Wedding at Biltmore Ballrooms
When we’re coordinating weddings with our couples, our goal is always to make the process as enjoyable as possible. We love helping brides and grooms find inspiration to help guide them to uncover their ideal wedding style, watching the vendors they chose would understand our couples’ personalities and visions mesh together beautifully, and witnessing the joy of our brides and grooms as their wedding days unfold before them. But the pandemic caused the wedding planning process to look and feel different than ever before.
Instead of counting down to their wedding days, couples (and vendors!) were faced with postponements, questions about safety, and more. Where everyone had once only felt excitement as a celebration approached, they instead felt trepidation that it would even be able to occur. It’s safe to say few understand this more than Jessica and Adam.
Jessica and Adam postponed their wedding day throughout 2020. For as much as they wanted to recite their vows and celebrate with their guests, they also felt an immense weight to ensure the environment their guests and wedding professionals would enter into was as safe as possible. Together, we deployed nearly every safety measure that came to mind. Wipes and hand sanitizer were both at the ready, colored bracelets noting each guest’s comfort level with socializing within their personal space were presented, and masks were welcomed.
After so many changes and careful planning, Jessica and Atlanta wedding day finally arrived. They each spent their wedding mornings with their respective groups of bridesmaids and groomsmen. The ladies enjoyed hair and makeup inside the bridal suite at the Four Seasons Hotel, while the gents got ready at the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel. As the ceremony neared, everyone traveled to The Biltmore Ballrooms, one of Atlanta’s most elegant and iconic wedding venues.
One of our favorite moments during the ceremony was when Jessica and Dawn walked arm-in-arm down the aisle while her cousin played the cello (another cousin served as the videographer!). Their close bond is undeniable, and it was such a pleasure getting to know both so well while we worked together. After prayers, readings, vows, ring exchanges, and the lighting of the unity candle, Jessica and Adam could finally say they had become husband and wife in front of the friends and family they adore.
While guests sipped on cocktails and Jessica and Adam captured additional photos with their photographer, The Biltmore Ballrooms team was busy flipping the ceremony space into the reception space. Tables were adorned with centerpieces, candles were lit, and then it was time to invite the couple, wedding party, and guests back inside to enjoy dinner, speeches, plenty of dancing, and a late-night treat from Varsity (a must eat if you’re hosting your wedding in Atlanta!).
Jessica and Adam, we cannot say enough how thrilled we are that you both finally were able to celebrate your wedding day. We hope your first year of marriage was filled with so much happiness, and we’re eager to watch your journey together continue to unfold. Congratulations again and happy first anniversary!
