Katie and Braden’s Wedding at Summerour Studio
One of the first questions we always ask our couples is where do they envision reciting their vows and celebrating with their guests? The locations where such monumental moments occur will be remembered for the rest of their lives, and we always want the ceremony and reception spaces to hold meaning to the couple. For Katie and Braden, their ceremony and reception space was one and the same. And, Summerour Studio could have not have been more perfect! Located on the Westside of Atlanta lies Summerour Studio. The space is modern and industrial, but there’s also plenty of warmth created by all of the natural light available to light photos both inside and outside on the patio.
While Katie was getting ready, she had a special moment outside with her mom and soon to be mother in law and presented them each a gift of Katie in her wedding dress drawn by a close friend of her’s. It was such a thoughtful and touching moment that I will always remember viewing. Then before their ceremony was underway, Katie revealed her wedding dress. The bridal portraits Lauren of Lauren Bailey Photography captured of Katie standing in her bohemian lace dress solo and with her bouquet by Stylish Stems will forever be among our favorites from the couple’s wedding day. Katie was a complete vision in her wedding dress because it encapsulated her style so perfectly!
Once they were ready, Katie and Braden chose to take advantage of Summerour Studio’s greenery that cascades outside. It creates such a unique garden vibe, and the touch provided a brilliant backdrop for Katie and Braden’s first look and couple’s portraits.
After Katie and Braden were officially married, they slipped outside for portraits around the property while their guests enjoyed appetizers by Three Sisters Catering while we + the Summerour Studio team flipped the interior space from the ceremony into the reception.
The room was lit up by candles that had lined either side of the aisle so that guest could have an Aha moment when entering the room. A sign placed onto a boxwood greenery with Katie and Braden’s new shared last name served as a backdrop perfect for photos, and a floral chandelier was hanging above the estate table where the couple and their wedding party dined.
Other than the décor, we also loved witnessing Katie and Braden share their first dance together, followed by a dance and toast made by the groom’s mother. Then guests joined them for the rest of the night on the dance floor!
Katie and Braden, we adored coordinating your wedding. Thank You to everyone who was involved in making Katie and Braden’s dreams come true!
