Mariah and Doug’s Summer Wedding at The Piedmont Room and The Piedmont Garden Tent
One of the reasons why we love coordinating weddings for couples in Atlanta is because the venues in our home city are so incredible. One of our favorite spaces is The Piedmont Room and Garden Tent! We’re always eager to work with couples who have plans to celebrate there because the spaces showcase some of the greatest things about Atlanta.
The Piedmont Room looks out over our celebrated Piedmont Park, and the style of the space is modern and classic. Outside is The Piedmont Garden Tent, which offers a much more lush and contemporary inspired style. Together, they offer couples the opportunity to showcase multiple styles beautifully. Plus, their team is the best! We love working with Lauren, Ashley, and Josh!
Today, we get to share more about Mariah and Doug’s wedding day, which took place at The Piedmont Room and Garden Tent.
During a year filled with uncertainty, we were delighted when Mariah and Doug opted to safely move forward with their celebration. They had plans to celebrate inside and outside, and with help from their team everything went off without a hitch!
Their celebration got underway inside in The Piedmont Room. Mariah walked down the aisle toward Doug inside with views of the park just beyond. Once they were officially Mr. and Mrs., they rejoined their guests downstairs in the Garden Tent for cocktail hour. That’s one of the reasons why this space is so fabulous – the movement as couples and guests transition throughout the day is seamless.
Inside the tent during the reception, The Piedmont team debuted their menu for Mariah, Doug, and their guests. Plus, Party Nation made sure guests safely joined together on the dance floor – masks and all! We also have to note the serendipity surrounding the couple and their band. While he was on his way to propose to Mariah, Doug took an UBER to the location. Of all the people who could have been his driver, a member of Party Nation was behind the wheel! Doug made sure to ask for the band’s information, and as fate would have it, Doug, Mariah, and their guests were serenaded live a few short months later. And, we have to note they are awesome to work with!
Though they placed every precaution into place, a few guests felt it was safest to stay home due to the pandemic. One of the guests who couldn’t attend was Mariah’s grandmother, but one of Mariah’s requests for the day was to make sure she and Doug had time for a special FaceTime. During their call, they shared that they were married, and they made sure to make Mariah’s grandma feel like she was attending the wedding. They also promised to pay her a visit post-honeymoon in their wedding day attire, and we’re so happy to report they did!
Mariah and Doug’s wedding was such a special celebration for our team, and we hope you loved getting a peek inside their day!
