McKenna and Michael's wedding: A Glamorous Summer Affair: A Sophisticated Wedding at The St. Regis
Mckenna and Michael were married at the St. Regis hotel located on Paces Ferry Road, which is in the heart of Buckhead in Atlanta. They wanted to have a sunny outdoor ceremony where they could get married under an arch of white hydrangeas and have their guest sipping on limoncello during the “IDO’s.” Unfortunately, the weather “GODS” did not agree as there was rain forecasted during the ceremony and cocktail hour time. No worries though as their wedding coordinators we had a backup plan that was discussed with the bride at the final walkthrough. We had the vendor team pivet and bring all the elements inside to create the vision that the bride wanted on her wedding day.
They spent the morning getting ready with their 10 groomsmen and 10 bridesmaids. Then it was off to do the first look while the sun was still out for the day. Mckenna and Michael did their first look in the most iconic locations at the hotel, which is the greenspace balcony that overlooks the hotel architecture. They spent some time sharing their vows with one another and enjoying some one on one time before the wedding party came out and joined them for photos.
While the bride and groom, wedding party and family were busy taking photos with the amazing Nicole Falco, the other vendors were inside busy getting the venue set up for the day.. Mckenna and Michael had a lot of fabulous elements that they incorporated into the special day.
The ceremony included an arch of white hydrangeas and white stage as the focal point, then a 3-set candle arrangement and hydrangea floor arrangements to cascade down both sides of the ceremony aisles all done by the outstanding florist Blosm. They incorporated a string quartet by Elite Strings to play their ceremony music and cocktail hour music to make the ceremony complete.
When the bride and groom were officially married it was time to drink and nosh on appetizers done by the St. Regis, while the bride and groom snuck away for a newlywed photos and a private moment, which we have all our couples do so they can eat something without interruption .
Once the photos were all done and the bride and groom were ready to party and see all their guest, the doors to the reception opened and everyone was oohing and awing about all they saw inside the ballroom. Upon walking into the room, there was a white wrapped dance floor with the couple’s monogram. There was an espresso martini bar with an ice sculpture Logue in the middle of it. The beautiful ceremony arch had been moved to showcase the beautiful wedding cake that was done by the St. Regis bakery team and with white roses and pieces of hydrangas to make it pop added by Blosm . The estate table had arcylic chairs and tall centerpieces with candles cascading down the table. There was a photo booth with a sparkly backdrop to be giggly at, and doggie swizzle sticks at the bar to incorporate the couples’ pup-Stella!
The reception kicked off with introductions of the wedding party and then Mr. and Mrs. McEnerney did their first dance to “Yellow by Coldplay” with Cold Sparks shooting out when they did their dip and kiss all orchestrated by One Night Atl. The guest dined on a delicious menu created by the St, Regis chef and couple.
The Cake cutting is also another iconic element of having your wedding at the St. Regis as the hotel does a sword champagne opening during the cake cutting for all guest to admire. It is a tradition that is done at the St. Regis. The bride and groom also decided to do a photo snap at the ice sculpture espresso martini louge to kick off dessert and toast.
When the toast were done and everyone was done eating, Mckenna snuck off and did a quick dress change to party the night away as a wife! The party was bumping with the packed dance floor, sparkly photo booth and with One Night Atl and the live sax taking the night away.
